We'll have a shuttle from the Hilton to the venue. If you drive, parking is available at the venue. Note that the Presidio can be hard to navigate, so if it's your first visit, leave extra time.

We have a block reserved at the Financial District Hilton. To get our rate, book through this link, or reference Erle-Grey Wedding when booking.

FAQs

FAQs

Hey, isn't COVID still a thing?

It sure is, and Besha is immune-compromised. We'd really appreciate it if you'd use a well-fitted mask or respirator on your travels, and test before attending. We are not asking guests to mask at the wedding, but fully support anyone who does.

The ceremony is outdoors. The reception is indoors, but we will have a couple of tables out in the courtyard for folks who feel more comfortable eating outdoors. Please let us know in your RSVP if you'd prefer to sit outside.

How accessible is the venue?

The ceremony is in the wheelchair-accessible courtyard of the Presidio Chapel. The reception is in the Golden Gate Club, which is fully accessible including the bathrooms. Both locations are close to parking with curb ramps; there is a short, paved, but rather steep path between the two. Please let us know if you need more information or accommodation and we'll get it figured out.

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Yes! Kids are welcome at the ceremony and reception, and we'll have professional onsite child care. Just be sure to RSVP for them.

What's for dinner?

Our main course is steak and salmon. The vegetarian option, stuffed peppers, is also vegan. Dinner is gluten-free, though some of the appetizers and desserts are not (and they'll be marked). The food is not strictly kosher but does not include shellfish or pork. If you have another dietary restriction not listed here, please let us know and we'll talk to our caterers.

What should I wear?

Please dress for a fancy party. Wear whatever colors make you happy - the bride won't be in white.

Weather-wise, it's San Francisco in May. Literally anything is possible. We recommend always carrying a light sweater.

What is the Presidio?

A former US Army base and the first part of San Francisco to be colonized by Europeans, the Presidio is now a national park. It houses a National Cemetery, the Lucasfilm campus, and the Walt Disney Museum, and is surrounded by some truly lovely beaches. If you're able to spend a day there, it's worth it!

Are there more things to do?

Yes!

Thursday night is Instant Band Night., a recurring event put on by our friend Jon. It's exactly what it sounds like, and a lot of fun. We'll be there if our rehearsal dinner doesn't run too late.

Saturday afternoon we're hosting a catered picnic in Alamo Square. We'll be on the southeast lawn with the iconic view of the Painted Ladies. Come and go whenever, but we'd appreciate an RSVP (link above) so we know how much food to get.

Gifts

We'd love to have you contribute to our audio production featuring interviews with you, our loved ones, that we'll release before the event. To record greetings, stories, or advice with our friendly robot, go here, or call 415-707-7474.

The nice thing about getting married in our 40s is that we have enough of everything. (Possibly too much. Anyone need a full mattress? Electric teakettle? Full set of dishes?) We really don't need more stuff.

If you really want to get us something, though, we've set up a cash fund for honeymoon activities here.
